Guide to the Eastern Code Published

Recently the Svichado (Beacon) Publishing House published a Ukrainian translation of a guide-book on the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches edited by Fr. George Nedungatt, S.J.

The authors who worked on the creation of this guide had the deep conviction and understanding that the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches should become an instrument in the service of the economy of the salvation of the soul – the highest purpose of all the laws of the Church.

In addition to this, it will help all Christians, not only Eastern ones, to “recognize not only our own traditions and discipline, but also foremost [our] role and mission in the future Universal Church and the spread of the kingdom of Christ Almighty.”
