The Carpatho Russian people are as distinct from the "Ukrainian" as the "Ukrainians" are from Byelorussians--Actually SW Byelorussians are more akin to "Ukrainian" Ruthenians than Carpatho Russians are. Carpatho Russians have different accents, a different form of Ruthenian, different customs and a different history. They should be recognized and honoured as another branch of the Russian people and accorded all rights thereby. Let them to have their own republic!
