Gdynia, Poland – Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko took part in the ceremony opening the 25th “Lemko Bonfire” Festival on 21 July 2007 in Gdynia (Poland). He presented the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 5th degree to Archbishop of Przemysl and Nowy Sacz Aleksandr Adam (Dubec) of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church and presented state awards of Ukraine to Lemko community figures. The Lemkos are ethnic Ukrainians who live in what is now eastern Poland.
