During a Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Sophia in Rome on 6 April 2003, Bishop Hlib Lonchyna, curial auxiliary bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), was announced apostolic visitator for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Italy.

On 10 April 2003, Archbishop Ihor Isichenko of Kharkiv and Poltava, responsible for managing affairs of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), addressed the clergy and believers of the Kharkiv and Poltava eparchy of the UAOC on the 105th anniversary of the birthday of Patriarch Mstyslav, late leader of the UAOC. The Armenian Apostolic community in central Ukrainian Cherkasy on 8 April 2003 sent a letter to the state Department on Nationalities and Migration, requesting it resolve the issue of the construction of an Armenian church in this city. According to the letter, local officials refuse to give the Armenian community permission for the construction of a church, without any substantial reasons.

Tkachuk, deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Union of the Association of Evangelical Baptists (AUU AEB), sent a letter to academician Shemshuchenko, rector of the Kyivan University of Law, in which he emphasized that Evangelical Christian Baptists would like to have their lawyers trained in this educational institution. A seminar for web-designers and religious journalists entitled “Virtual Evangelization, or Evangelization in the Virtual Dimension” was held in the patriarchate of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC) on 4 April 2003. The seminar, presided by Archbishop Ihor Isichenko of Kharkiv and Poltava, responsible for managing affairs of the UAOC patriarchate, was aimed at improving the online services of the UAOC.
Ukrainian Translation Of Catholic Catechism Presented In Lviv 08.04.2003, [13:19] // UGCC //
On 3 April 2003, Cardinal Lubomyr Husar, head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), presented the Ukrainian translation of “The Catechism of the Catholic Church” at Ivan Franko National University in western Ukrainian Lviv. The book was published in late 2002 and was first presented in the Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy of the UGCC. Part of the financial help for the publication came from Pope John Paul II.

Representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches sent a letter to UN Secretary General Koffi Anan, requesting that the United Nations acknowledge the famine in Ukraine in 1932 and 1933 as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian nation. BBC Monitoring Service - United Kingdom; 3 April, 2003 Kyiv: The Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine demands that places of worship be returned to it, fearing that they would [otherwise] be completely destroyed. Bishop Stanislaw Shyrokoradiuk, the general vicar of the Kyiv and Zhytomyr diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, said this at a news conference in Kyiv on 3 April 2003.
