Viacheslav Horpynchuk is the head of the episcopate of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church (ULC).
He was born on 4 February 1966 in the Rivne region.
In 1989, he graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Lutsk State University. He worked as a teacher, was the deputy headmaster of a school, and senior teacher at the Ternopil Academy of National Economy.
In 1999, he completed a course of study in the Ukrainian Lutheran Theological Seminary of St. Sophia and was received a master's degree in theology.
On 25-27 August 2000, he was elected head of the episcopate of the ULC at a church-wide assembly in Kyiv.
