Viacheslav Nesteruk, head of the AUU AEB (2006—)

He was born to a Christian family in northwestern Ukraine’s Rivne region on 25 January 1953. After serving in the Soviet Army, he received the holy water of baptism in the faith. He immediately began to actively participate in church ministry: he worked with Christian youth, served as a deacon and later presbyter. From 1989 to 1992 he was a student in the Correspondence Bible Courses in Moscow and was awarded the degree “doctor of ministry.” Starting in 1995 he worked as director of the Association of Biblical Institutes. In 1995 he was elected senior presbyter for the Rivne region and in May 2002, at its 24th Convention, assistant to the head of the AUU AEB. On 12 May 2006 at the 25th Convention of the AUU AEB he was elected head of the AUU AEB and senior presbyter of Ukraine.

He is married and has three children.
