On 60th Birthday President of Ukraine Awarded with Highest Award of the UOC-MP

KYIV – The head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, extended personal greetings to Viktor Yanukovych on his birthday, reports the website of the UOC-MP.  The hierarch offered the president an icon of the Savior as a present and wished many years of life and God's help in the service to the people of Ukraine. For his services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate and his 60^th birthday the church conferred the highest award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – the Distinction of the Primate of the UOC-MP Number 001 – on President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. The decision to confer the award was passed at the last session of the Holy Synod of the UOC-MP.
