Lutheran pastor Ralf Haska recently held a service in Bavaria, where blue and yellow flags were unfurled in the church. The priest's daughter was holding a banner brought in 2014 from the Donbas, where the Russian-Ukrainian war was already going on. On his Facebook page, the pastor noted: this flag is a witness to the war that lasted eight years and claimed more than 14 thousand lives of Ukrainian citizens.

"Ralph Haska was a priest in Kyiv," says Voice Of Ukraine. "He headed the Lutheran community of St. Catherine's church, which is located on Lutheranska Street in the center of the capital and knows Ukraine well. Fate threw the pastor and his wife Haris into the maelstrom of the revolution of dignity, in which they took an active part — the pastor repeatedly defended the Maidan activists from the "Golden Eagle", a hospital for the wounded and a pharmacy warehouse were organized in the church building. The church also prepared dinners for Euromaidan participants. Pastor Ralph himself was injured while taking photos.

Since the beginning of the war in eastern Ukraine, Ralph Haska has visited the Donbas on a humanitarian mission.
