Polish Officers Killed in Katyn by the NKVD Remembered in Lviv

On April 13 with the participation of representatives of local Polish organizations and the employees of the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, Polish officers massacred by the Soviet regime in Katyn were remembered.

 

15_04_2010.jpgLVIVOn April 13, 2010, in the Lviv Sanctuary of St. Antony, with the participation of representatives of local Polish organizations and the employees of the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, Polish officers massacred by the Soviet regime in Katyn in 1940 were remembered.

According to the press service of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, the service was led by the Rev. Vladyslav Lizun, who said a sermon.  After the liturgy, the general consul of the Republic of Poland Grzegorz Opalinski read out the speech of President Kaczynski which was to be read on April 10 in Katyn.
